Belmont Lake State Park Tree Lighting December 1

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has announced that the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at Belmont Lake State Park. This event is presented by the Long Island State park Region and co-sponsored by Cox Broadcasting (WBAB 102.3FM and WBLI 106.1FM Radio Stations) and the North Babylon School District. Corporate contributors include Dover Caterers, Entenmann's, Fireworks by Grucci and TV55. It will be held Saturday, December 1 at Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon. Festivities begin 4:15 p.m., however and the lighting of the tree will occur at 5 p.m.

Along with the lighting of the tree, there will be a host of traditional holiday music courtesy of a local school chorus, horse drawn wagon rides, ice sculpting demonstration, and a spectacular fireworks display. Also, a visit from Santa Claus arriving on the Long Island Sleigh Express. Everyone is welcome to join in this joyous celebration, which has become a heartwarming tradition among area residents.

The holiday tree is located within Belmont Lake State Park at Exit 38 on the Southern State Parkway.
