      Michael J. Clifford has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. The ROTC cadet has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army.

      Alison W. of Massapequa Park and Meredith P. of Seaford, participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Manhattan, the weekend of October 6. The girls have been friends since attending Holy Trinity High School. Together, they raised approximately $4,600.
