MHS volleyball team continues to court success

Who would have known that a meaningful catchphrase on the back of those warm-up shirts for the Massapequa girls Volleyball team, "Believe and Achieve " would not only be the team's motto, but also inspire them to be winners.

This season, the MHS Varsity Volleyball team is undefeated (16-0) with many first- and secondplace awards taken in several tournaments.

The team traveled this season all over Long Island and to Upstate New York to compete and play. During these tournaments, some of the Lady Chiefs were named to the All-Tournament Team: Captain/ Senior Janine Aldridge (3), Captain/Senior Kelley Collins (2), and seniors Kim Giaquinto (2), Tara Annunziata (1), Carolyn Furman (1). Contributing to the triumph of this team, senior Alison Silk along with juniors Julies Bies, Katey Foran, Dana Vosilla, Briana Wallace; sophomores Katie Bryson and Krissy Silk, and freshman Samantha Berna play to achieve greatness. The team is looking to continue to have a successful winning season. Behind every great team is a great coach, and this proves truth for the Massapequa Chiefs Girls Varsity Volleyball Team.
