Donald Homan: retired NC Public Works Engineer

Massapequa resident Donald E. Homan died October 31, 2007. For more than 40 years he was a civil engineer for the Nassau County Public Works Division until his retirement in 1991.

Born in Roosevelt, he was a member of the St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in Massapequa for more than 44 years, and a longtime member of the Interparish Club of Long Island. According to his wife, Marie, he loved to take photographs and always had a camera in his hand to record precious family moments which line the walls of their home.

Mr. Homan leaves behind his wife; his children: Kevin and his wife Patty, Karen, Brian and his wife Debbie and Sharon and her husband Thomas; his brother, Robert; his grandchildren: Noelle, Justin, Anthony D'Anna, Morgan, Matthew and Matthew; and his great grandson, Bryson.

He reposed at the Massapequa Funeral Home, South Chapel in Massapequa Park on November 1 and 2, 2007. A Mass was said November 3, 2007, at the St. Rose of Lima Church, Massapequa followed by interment in St. Charles Cemetery. Obituary notices are printed without charge, as space permits.
