Soup Spoilers cook for the holidays

Shown in the photo are The Soup Spoilers, busy cutting and chopping in the church kitchen.
St. David's Lutheran Church's cooking group, known as The Soup Spoilers, prepared 20 gallons of turkey soup for the Thanksgiving meal served at the Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) located at 146 Babylon Tpke. Freeport.

For the past 10 years, twice a month, the members meet in the church's kitchen to cook up a variety of soups that they deliver to the INN where more than 225 needy people come daily to enjoy a hot noon meal.

The Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN) operated 19 soup kitchens throughout Long Island that are also supported by private donors. The INN also provides emergency shelters and supportive services to homeless Long Islanders.
