Ribbon cutting makes new wing official at Massapequa High

Shown, left to right are Board of Education members Tom Caltabiano, Timothy Taylor, Maryanne Fisher, Interim Superintendent of Schools Charles Sulc, Massapequa High School Principal Dr. James Grossane, Board of Education President and Vice President Richard Krebs and Christine Lupetin- Perrino, and former Board of Education President Arlene Martin at the ribbon cutting ceremony, all of whom were instrumental in the promotion of the new addition to the Main Campus.
Massapequa High School Main Campus Principal Dr. James Grossane recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially kick-off the use of the high school's new addition. The ceremony was attended by past and present Board of Education members, District staff, administrators, and community members. The new addition features two floors with eight classrooms, that feature ample storage and organizational space, new furniture, and safety windows. More than 40 new parking spaces have been added to the Massapequa High School Main Campus lot adjacent to the wing, which was also newly paved this summer. Board of Education President Richard Krebs thanked the community for its support of the project, noting that the bond issue, which made much of the capital improvement projects possible, was initiated nine years ago. The work completed this year on District buildings is part of the third and final phase of the projects supported by the bond. Interim Superintendent of Schools Charles Sulc also thanked the community and the Buildings and Grounds Department for their involvement in helping the District's capital improvement plans come to fruition.
