Massapequa student raises money for YES Center

Shown in the photo is Massapequa High School senior Kevin Baird donating a check to YES Executive Director Jamie Bogenshutz.
This past Halloween, Kevin Baird, a Massapequa High School senior, created a haunted house that delighted hundreds of children and adults in town. While he and his friends were instilling fear in some, the result of their actions caused cheers for YES Community Counseling Center. Baird, along with the help of his parents, Frank and Nancy, transformed their home into a haunted house for five days. The donations they received from the hundreds of visitors were contributed to YES Community Counseling center, a charitable non-profit communitybased agency providing help to children and families in Massapequa, Plainedge and Farmingdale. Jamie Bogenshutz, YES executive director, commented on Baird, "It is inspiring to know people like Kevin and his friends who recognize that charity really does begin at home. Baird's donation will help

the agency respond to the nees of children and families and families who live in our neighborhood who need our help. I can only hope that he inspires others."
