Leg. Mangano honored by Sass Foundation

Shown, in photo above, left to right, are Nassau County Legislator Ed Mangano, Dr. Francis P. Arena, Keynote Speaker, Martin Sass, chairman of the Sass Foundation and Stacey Sager, honoree.
N.C. Legislator Edward Mangano (R) was selected by the Sass Foundation to receive a memorial award in recognition of Legislator Mangano's commitment to assist in the fight to find a cure. Legislator Mangano received the award at the organization's daylong breast cancer education day. Over 600 attendees gathered to learn of Dr. Arena's advancements in the treatment for breast cancer. The SASS Foundation for Medical Research, Inc. was established in 1986 by Martin and Barbara Sass together with Dr. Francis P. Arena as a non-profit, non-sectarian organization dedicated to fighting cancer and related life-threatening diseases, educating physicians and the public on the newest therapies and treatments, and funding research projects aimed at combating these diseases.
