Special awards for seasonal sports Throughout the year, students have received special awards for their hard work within their sport. The Farmingdale School District has distributed the following awards representing each sport in their season. In the Fall of 2006: Boys Soccer: MVP was awarded to Steven Morales, MIP went to Mark Ortiz and the Coaches Award was presented to Chris Genzmann. Boys Cross Country: MVP went to Claudio Joseph, MIP was presented to Tom Mastropasqua and the Coaches Award was given to Andrew Bosso. Golf: MVP was given to Tom Romano, MIP was presented to Vincent Valoniti and the Coaches Award went to Dan DiRienzo. Girls Soccer: MVP went to Katie Rocks, MIP went to Alyssa Mercante and the Coaches Award was given to Erin Garvey. Girls Volleyball: Danielle Fritsche was presented with the MVP title, Katie Thompson was named the MIP and Jackie Lynch was given the Coaches Award. Girls Cross Country: Katie Wiking was named the MVP, Melissa Bonilla was named MIP and Keriann Garvey was presented with the Coaches Award. Girls Tennis: The MVP of the team is Devlin Ammendola, the MIP was Shivani Dave and the Coaches Award was presented to Michelle Neglia. Girls Swimming: Marissa Boccio was named MVP, Nicole Zeno was MIP and the Coaches Award went to Bridget Farrington. In the winter of 2007, the special awards for winter sports were distributed. Boys Basketball: MVP went to Keenan Ochwat, MIP player was Tom Romano and the Coaches award was given to Joe DeClemente. Boys Swimming: Dom Boccio received the MVP award, Scott Laine was named MIP and the Coaches Award went to Nick Colecchia and Joe Reade. Wrestling: Paul Pavlatos was named MVP and Thomas Jackson was named the MIP of the team. The Coaches Award was given to Ryan Boyle. Boys Track: Qasim Ellis was named MVP, the MIP was Kirk Cajou and Jeff St Simon received the Coaches Award. Boys Bowling: Nick Caravella was titled as MVP, Alex Udowitch was MIP and Nick Lombardi received the Coaches Award. Girls Basketball: Christine Gugliero was named MVP, Candace Rossi was labeled at the MIP and the Coaches Award went to Jasmine Batchelor. Girls Track: MVP was Katie Wiking, MIP was Melissa Bonilla, and Shannon Haas was given the Coaches Award. Girls Bowling: Danielle Fritsche received the MVP award, Kim DiRienzo was labeled as the MIP and Nicole Hernandez was given the Coaches Award. The Spring Special Awards for the Varsity Teams include: Boys Lacrosse: Co-MVP's are Joe Bagnasco and Mike Giordano, Rich D'Amico is the MIP and the Coaches Award has been presented to John Olbeter. Baseball: Dan Burnett is the MVP, Vinny Valinoti is the MIP and Lou Alaimo received the Coaches Award. Volleyball: Nick Hadnagy is the MVP, Steve Knox is the MIP and the Coaches Award was presented to Franco Martorana. Spring Track: The MVP is Qasim Ellis, the MIP is Daniel Kovler and Jeffrey St. Simon is the recipient of the Coaches Award. Boys Tennis: Jason Williams is the MVP, the MIP is Frank Callan and the Coaches Award went to Christopher Genzemann. Girls Lacrosse: Jillian Cerar is the MVP, Alyssa Dorsey and Shannon Haas share the title of MIP and Melissa Maier is the recipient of the Coaches Award. Softball: Stephanie Ringbauer is the MVP, Nicola DeVine is the MIP and Kelly Ann Keenan was given the Coaches Award. Spring Track:Jasmine Batchelor was named MVP, Peggy Antoine is the MIP and the Coaches Award was given to Bianca Rutigliano. Badminton: The MVP is Kimberly Woessner, the MIP is Megan Milana and the Coaches Award was given to Julia Petruc. The most dedicated and spirited cheerleaders are Liz Tortoso and Annie Borrelli.
The most dedicated Dalerette is Jackie Kramer and the most spirited is Brittany Gosline.
