School bomb threats are no laughing matter
      A youngster was arrested this week for making bomb threats against Lake Grove High School. This follows similar incidents last month in Amityville and Copiague. They point to a lack of understanding on the part of some young people as to the seriousness of this type of crime and deserve to be handled as such by police and the judicial system.

Help for those looking for ways to support troops
      Several of our readers have called regarding a letter that appeared in the Nov. 28 edition asking them to remember the injured soldiers by sending holiday cards to them at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Following publication of that letter we learned that this address did not accept mail in the name of "a recovering American soldier.
