•Molly Friedman, of Massapequa Park, was named to the dean's list at the State University New York College at Cortland for the fall 2007 semester. She is a 2007 graduate of Massapequa High School and the daughter of Janet and Howard Friedman.

•Janessa D. Meyers, a resident of North Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at Lasell College, Newton Massachusetts for the fall 2007 semester.

•Ashley Stackpole, of Massapequa Park, a student at Wagner College in Staten Island, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester.

•Robert G. Holub of Massapequa and Christopher G. Mextorf of Farmingdale were named to the dean's list at the University of New Haven, Connecticut, for the fall 2007 semester.

•Susan Dittrich, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at the State University of New York College at Cortland for the fall 2007 semester. She is majoring in physical education/health education. A 2005 graduate of Massapequa High School, she is the daughter of Drew and Joanne Dittrich.

Making the Grade

•Christine Gleave, of North Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Plainedge High School and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard N. Gleave.

•Nicole Debra Barbero, of Massapequa Park, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania for the fall 2007 semester.

•Kathryn Kaplun, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at the State University of New York where she is majoring in education. She is 2003 graduate of Massapequa High School and the daughter of John Kaplun and Jayne Afshar.

•Michael Brundage, of Massapequa, has been named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's College of Engineering for outstanding scholarship during the fall 2007 semester. He is 2006 graduate of Massapequa High School and the son of Laura and Douglas Brundage.

•Jenna L. , of Massapequa Park, a junior in business administration at Bryant University, Smithfield, Rhode Island, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester.

•Matthew Levine, of Massapequa Park, a junior music education major at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, was named to the College of Visual and Performing Arts dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. •Katherine A. Balfour, of Massapequa Park, junior majoring in interior design in the College Architecture and Urban Studies at Virginia Tech, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester.

•Daniel Panzl, the son of Elizabeth and Gary Panzl and brother of Jonathan Panzl, of Massapequa Park, was named to the dean's list in the University of Notre Dame's First Year of Studies for outstanding scholarship during the fall 2007 semester. Notre Dame is located in Notre Dame, Indiana.

•Robert Bencivenga, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at the State University of New York College at Cortland for the fall 2007 semester. He is a biology pre-chiropractor and a 2005 graduate of Massapequa High School, Bencivenga was also accepted into New York Chiropractic College for the fall of 2008.

•Katherine Robson, of North Massapequa, a senior early childhood preschool major in the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vermont, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester.

•Laura Jean Smith, of Massapequa, has earned a place on the dean's list Adelphi University, Garden City where she is a sophomore majoring in nursing. She is a 2006 graduate of Massapequa High School.

•Eric Recine, of Farmingdale, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Johnson and Wales University, Providence,

Rhode Island where he is studying in the College of Business.

•Kevin Murga, of North Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at Springfield

College, Springfield, Massachusetts for the fall 2007 semester. Murga is a secondyear

student majoring in sports management.

•Named to the dean's list at Rensselaer

Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York for the fall 2007 semester are

the following local residents: Paul A. Gale of North Massapequa,

Adam J. Pecan of Massapequa and Joseph F. Totino of Massapequa.

•The following local residents have been named to the dean's

list at The University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania for the fall semester: From Massapequa are Colleen M. Achatz, Robert E. Auletta, Alicia N. Bucaria and Alison A. Gigante and from North Massapequa is Katelyn J. Maher.

•At the State University of New York at Potsdam the following achievements took place this past fall: Sarah Bentley-Garfinkel, a community health major received her bachelor's degree. She is the daughter of Nathan Bentley-Garfinkel of Massapequa. Named to the the president's list for a GPAof 3.5 or more are Maria Elaine Diaz of Massapequa, Matthew Dunlop III of Massapequa Park, Lauren Amanda LiCausi of Farmingdale, Michael James Maino of Massapequa Park, Jamie Lynn Scotto of Massapequa Park and Ryan James Taussig of Massapequa. Named to the dean's list for an average of 3.25 to 3.49 are Michael Joseph Bello of Farmingdale and Talisa Lynn Davis of Massapequa.

•The following local residents were named to the dean's list at Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts for the fall 2007 semester: From Massapequa are Michael T. Spinosa, Matthew Rao , Amanda N. Riemer, Steven V. Orlando, Stefan C. Mag and Liam Holland; from Massapequa Park are Brittany King and Jenna Jones and from North Massapequa is Julie Babyatzky.

•Jessica Alagna, of Amityville, has been named to to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Maryville College, Maryville, Tennessee. Alagna, a 2002 graduate of Massapequa High School, is majoring in writing/communication. She is the daughter of Janet Alagna of Amityville.

•Fayrisa Ilana Greenwald, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 in the College of Arts and Science at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. She is the daughter of Sandra Greenwald.

•Gregory M. Valenski, a junior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. Valenski, the son of Edmund and Linda Valenski of Massapequa Park is an economics major. He attended St. Paul's School.

•The following local residents were named to the dean's list at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Connecticut for the fall 2007 semester: from Massapequa is Caitlin D'Amico; from Massapequa Park are Ryan Perry, Marie Young, Nadayne Limerick, James Muhlbauer, Kelly Barrett and Janine Curiale and from Farmingdale is Meryl Axmacher.

•The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its president's list and dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. Named to the president's list for a GPAof 4.0 are Massapequa residents Christopher Mandato and Pamela May. Named to the dean's list for a GPA of 3.4 or better are Massapequa residents Courtney Horan, Alexandra Knight, Sarah Jane Marques, Kerry Morris, Daniel Nagorski, Patrick Oberle and Kimberly Skieggs and from Massapequa Park are Meredith Cannella, Laura Geiler and Matthew McCurdy.

•Jane E. Hogan, of Massapequa Park, was named too the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, New Hampshire. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hogan of Massapequa Park.

•Diane Morrison, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list at Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts for the fall 2007 semester.

•Adam Gottlieb, of Massapequa, a junior majoring in biomedical science at the State University of New York at Cortland, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. He is a 2000 graduate of Massapequa High School.

•Joseph A. Zorovich, of Massapequa, a finance major, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Western New England College, Springfield, Massachusetts.

•Named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Hofstra University, Hempstead are the following local residents: Jacqueline Brilla of Massapequa and Lauren Dibiase and Jaime Hoerbelt of Massapequa Park.

•Named to the dean's list at Providence College, Providence, Rhode Island, for the fall 2007 semester are Lauren Bedard and Alison Murphy of Massapequa, Jeanine Dowd of North Massapequa and Lauren Prendergast of Farmingdale.

•Kaitlyn Rindos, of Massapequa, has been named to the fall 2007 dean's list at Hofstra University, Hempstead. She is studying speech-language-hearing sciences at the school.

•Matthew Harrison Bayer, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Bayer is a graduate of Massapequa High School.

•Laura Intravia and Nicole Intravia, of Massapequa Park, were named to the dean's list at Ithaca College for the fall 2007 semester. Laura is enrolled in the School of Music and Nicole is enrolled in the School of Humanities and Sciences. Their parents are Toni and Dennis Intravia.

•Molloy College, Rockville Centre, announced its freshman's dean's list for the fall 2007 semester including local residents Jennifer Zontini of Massapequa and Michelle Rugolo of Farmingdale.

•North Massapequa residents Mary Caner and Jessica Wilson were named to the dean's list at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania for the fall 2007 semester.

•Christopher Bertely, of Massapequa, has been named to the fall 2007 dean's list at Hofstra University, Hempstead. He is currently studying biology with a pre-med concentration.
