Bideawee Pet Appreciation Day to be held June 7
Bideawee, one of the nation's oldest humane animal organizations, is hosting Pet Appreciation Day, Sat., June 7, noon to 3 p.m. at its Wantagh location. Enjoy an afternoon of fun and education with your family and furry friends.
The schedule of events includes, Best Costume, Best Trick and Best Kisser contests; Agility with the Dog Obedience Club of South Nassau; Traveling Tips for your Pet by Bideawee veterinarian Dr. Harry Penson; Ask Mike, the Trainer; Parade of Adoption Center Canines and a Blessing of the Animals by the Rev. Patricia Furino. Pet Appreciation day is an event for the whole family including children's face painting and Bideawee tattoos. Refreshments and local vendor participation.
All animals must be animal/people friendly, leashed or in carriers and have current vaccinations. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is Sun., June 8.
