Edward Shea, former 'Pequan and father of 5

Former longtime Mas­sapequa Park resident Edward Joseph Shea died May 25, 2008 in Oakdale, New York. The beloved husband, father and grandfather was 80 years old.

From 1954 to 1990 he and his wife, Dolores, lived on Pacific Street be­fore moving to Oakdale. Until his retirement, the avid golfer worked in Manhat­tan as a film editor for television commercials and was a longtime member of the Motion Pictures Union.

In addition to his wife, he also leaves behind his children: Susan Geiger, Donna Foley and her husband Bob Mulry, Maureen Taylor and her husband James, Robert and his wife Julie and Edward and his wife Paula; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and his sister, Eileen Severino.

Mr. Shea reposed at Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville on May 27, 2008. A Funeral Mass was held May 28, 2008 at St. John Nepomucene R.C. Church in Bohemia. Interment followed in St. Ann's Cemetery in Sayville. Donations in Mr. Shea's name can be sent to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, New York 10006.
