Massapequa residents Shannon Al­ter and Nicole Rosario are teammates on the 2008 SUNY Maritime College Privateer's NCAA Division III Wom­en's Softball Team. The school is lo­cated in the Fort Schuyler in Throggs Neck, New York. Alter, a graduate of Massapequa High School is in her junior year and playing first base.
