Cadets Michael Hanna, left and Roy Ragusa, right, graduated from the United States Military Academy Sat., May 31. Both Hanna and Ragusa graduated from Massapequa High School in 2003 and went on to play on the nationally-ranked Army Lacrosse team while they concentrated their studies in Management.

Hanna, the son of Linda and Mike Hanna, and Ragusa, the son of Sue and the late Roy Ragusa, were commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army within the Field Artillery Branch. Hanna will report to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for Officer Basic Training, while Ragusa will be reporting to West Point for a special assignment. The mission of the academy is "to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army."
