Fred Dillon, former 'Pequan and American Veteran

Former longtime Massapequa resident Frederick J. Dillon died June 12, 2008 in Ormond Beach, Florida. The loving family patriarch had lived on Pittsburgh Avenue in Massapequa for more than 30 years. A lifetime AmVet member, he moved to Florida with his wife, Ronnie, in 1991. Mr. Dillon reposed at the James Funeral Home in Massapequa on June 17, 2008. A Funeral Mass was said June 18, 2008 at St. William the Abbot R.C. Church in Seaford followed by interment in the Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn. Mr. Dillon leaves behind his children: Barbara Waller of North Massapequa, Patricia Sacino of Florida, Carol Carnelli of Florida and Kathleen of Amityville; his 13 grandchildren; his beloved great grandchild; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Raphelina "Ronnie" in February 2008.
