Christina Bové and Brian Ruskin, at left Kathy and John Bové of Massapequa and John and Pa­tricia Ruskin of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania announce the engagement of their children, Christina Bové and Brian Ruskin.

Christina, a 1997 graduate of Massapequa High School, attended Cornell University, where she earned a B.S. in bi­ology in 2001 and doctor of veterinary medicine in 2006. She currently works an emergency clinician in Houston, Texas. Brian, a 1997 Seton-La Salle High School alum­nus,

graduated in 2001 from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S in geology and a B.A. in studio arts. In 2006, he received a Ph.D in geology (stratigraphy) from Cornell University. Brian is presently employed by Shell Interna­tional Exploration and Production, Inc. in Houston. Christina and Brian plan a September 2009 wedding at St. Rose of Lima, in Massapequa, with a reception at Westbury Manor to follow.
