Assemblyman Joseph S. Saladino was recently inducted into the Massapequa High School Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame identifies alumni of Massapequa High School and Berner High School who have exhibited extraordinary standards in community service or in their respective fields.

As a New York State Assemblyman representing the 12th district, Saladino has delivered multiple years of record increases to the Massapequa School district and to all the districts in the 12th AD. The State school aid is intended to reduce the property tax burden of local residents and property owners, while providing the highest quality education for our students. Saladino graduated from Massapequa High School, and after college he went on to pursue a career in professional broadcasting, and then worked as a government administrator before being elected to the New York State Assembly where he has served for five years. He was also instrumental in passing the Civil Confinement Law which is designed to keep the most dangerous sexual predators behind bars for life.

A lifelong Massapequa resident, he has been very active in community volunteer service as a member of many organizations including a member of the Kiwanis Club for the past 20 years. Saladino was nominated to the Hall of Fame by Massapequa Chamber of Commerce President Robert Barrett.
