Robert Hough, Massapequa resident and Amityville baseball coach
Longtime Massapequa resident and Amityville Little League coach Robert L. Hough died at his home on July 21, 2008 after an illness. He was 59.
He was born November 8, 1948 to Emiel Jack and Jean (Rollinson) in Amityville and grew up there. For many years he worked as a security guard for the Wyandanch School District. For 25 years, he lived on Cleveland Avenue in Massapequa.
According to his family, he was an avid sports fan who loved to fish. Mr. Hough also volunteered much of his time as a coach for the Amityville Little League, the Amityville Baseball Traveling team, the Amityville High School Freshman team and the Huntington School team.
Mr. Hough leaves behind his wife of almost 40 years, Susan and their children: Robert and his wife Angela of Lindenhurst, Susan and her fiancee Paul Rosa of Massapequa Park, and Steven and his wife Carol of North Massapequa. His grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Robert, Allison and Carolyn also survive him as well as his brother Troy Donohue and his nephew: A.J. Donohue.
