Boating Safety course offered Nov. 15
      A Safe Boating Course for all ages is being offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 13-11, Sat., Nov. 15, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park. New York State Law now requires mandatory boating education.

Fort Neck Garden Club invites you to the Library Nov. 5
      extends an invitation to all for an afternoon of refreshments and desserts, Wed., Nov. 5, 1 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park. Diabetic and special needs will be accommodated. The guest speaker, Joan Prior, will demonstrate the holiday warmth with flowers. In addition there will be a boutique/ white elephant table.

Bellmore Jewish Center 50s dance party Nov. 8
      Center Ave., Bellmore, will hold a '50s Rock and Roll party and dance, Sat., Nov. 8, 8:30 p.m. Dancing will be to the music of The Cascades, a 10-piece live band, which will play and sing music of the '50s, '60s and '70s. Homemakers Bingo Fundraiser Nov. 12
      The Massapequa Homemakers Evening Chapter will hold its annual basket Bingo fundraiser. It will be held at McKenna Elementary School in the senior center, rear entrance, Second Avenue, Massapequa Park, Wed., Nov. 12. Reformed Church to hold rummage sale Nov. 7
      The Massapequa Reformed Church, Ocean Avenue and Merrick Road, Massapequa will be holding its fall rummage sale, Fri., Nov., 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sat., Nov. 8, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, toys and flea market items. A bake sale will be held also. All day Saturday is $5 per bag sale.

      YES Community Counseling Center will be selling leaves for its "Giving Tree" which will be prominently displayed in the offices at YES.
