•The Harbor Lane Library offers programs on an ongoing basis including aerobics and toning classes, Mondays, 7:30 p.m.; Tournament Scrabble, Mondays, 11 a.m..; Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m.; strength training classes for seniors, Monday mornings, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m; Mah Jongg, Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.; line dancing, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. and Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m. Contact the library for details.

•The Harbor Lane Library offers space to play intergenerational chess, Fridays, 2 p.m. Registration is requested but not required. Bring your chess set if you have one.

•The movie Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein will be shown Thurs., Oct. 30, 1:30 and 8 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. Farmingdale 116 Merritts Road 249-9090

•Registration is underway for a number of trips. A bus trip to see the show Jersey Boys will be held Wed., Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. along with lunch at Sangria on 46th Street for a total of $162. On Tues., Dec. 9, 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. a holiday night light tour will be held in New York City with an early family-style meal at Carmines at 3 p.m. Contact the library for further details.

•The poetry group will meet Wed., Oct. 29, 7 to 9 p.m. All poets are encouraged to come prepared to read what they have written and to appreciate the work of others.
