Longtime Massapequa Park resident and loving mother and grandmother Grace J. Hahn died Oct. 1, 2008. She was 88.

She was born on March 6, 1920 in Brooklyn to Stanley and Emelia Stemke and moved to Lilac Place in Massapequa Park in 1950. She lived there for 58 years.

In addition to caring for her family and home, she worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Bowe-Walsh & Associates in Bay Shore. According to her family, she loved to dance and bowled in both Massapequa and Wantagh senior leagues.

Mrs. Hahn leaves behind her daughter: Susan Hough of Massapequa; her grandchildren: Robert and his wife Angela of Lindenhurst, Susan and her husband Paul of Massapequa Park and Steven and his wife Carol of North Massapequa; and her great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Robert, Allison and Carolyn. She was predeceased by her husband, James C. and her siblings, Stanley, Bernard, Alice, Joseph and Dorothy.

A Prayer service was held on Oct. 2, 2008 at the Powell Funeral Home, Amityville. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima R.C.
