2008-10-29 / Events & Calendar

The Massapequa Interfaith Clergy Council, in cooperation with their member congregations, is hosting a special program called Building Bridges of Understanding on Mon., Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m. in the Baldwin Auditorium of the Massapequa High School, 4925 Merrick Rd. The program will be conducted by the Multi-Faith Forum that was started by the Long Island Council of Churches to provide understanding and appreciation within and beyond the faith communities of Long Island. The Massapequa Interfaith Clergy Council felt this program would provide an opportunity for all of the residents of Massapequa and surrounding communities to have a chance to get to know more about their neighbor's faith traditions. The program will include: the showing of a 30- minute DVD that gives an overview of the 12 major faith communities serving on Long Island; brief presentations by three different clergy members and a question and answer period. All are welcome.

For further information, you can speak to the leader of your congregation or call Rev. Dr. Stephen Giordano, Pastor of the Massapequa Reformed Church at 799-5158.
