Bird Walks at Jones Beach Nov. 16 and 23

St. David's Thanksgiving Interfaith Service
      St. David's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20 Clark Blvd., Massapequa Park, will host a youth service, Sun., Nov. 16, 7:30 p.m. featuring music from Led By The Spirit and guests. Youth groups throughout the area have been invited to join in the service with its singing and dancing focused for the youth.

Town of Oyster Bay Ice Hockey program registration begins November 13
      Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker announced that registration for the Town of Oyster Bay Youth Ice Hockey Program will begin on Thurs, Nov. 13. The program provides youngsters ages six to 13 with the opportunity to hone their skating and hockey skills under the tutelage of certified ice hockey coaches.

YES offers NYS certification training
      YES Community Counseling Center is approved by the New York State Department of Education to provide the state's two-hour certification training for mandated reporters of child abuse and neglect. The next training will be provided on Monday, Dec. 1, 7 to 9 p.m. at the agency's location at 75 Grand Ave., Massapequa. The cost is $25 per person.
