Friends of the Massapequa Preserve invite the community to an important public meeting., Wed.. Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park. Learn more about Nassau County's multi-year, six-million dollar stream enhancement and pond restoration project that has already begun in Massapequa Preserve. This construction project will necessitate the temporary closing of portions of the Preserve and partial dredging of some of the ponds and streams. The paved bikeway will be rerouted as it is torn up section-by-section and completely rebuilt.
