•The Harbor Lane Library offers space to play intergenerational chess, Fridays, 2 p.m. Registration is requested but not required. Bring your chess set if you have one.

•The Friends of Massapequa Preserve will hold an open meeting, tonight Wed., Nov. 19, 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library.

•The Harbor Lane Library, in cooperation with the Great South bay Forum on Current Affairs will present a National Health Program Roundtable, Thurs. Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m.

• On Sun., Nov. 23, 2 p.m. the Harbor Lane Library will host a musical tribute and slide presentation to The Roaring Twenties performed by Lisa Winters. Admission is free.

•Registration is underway for a trip. On Tues., Dec. 9, 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. a holiday night light tour will be held in New York City with an early familystyle meal at Carmines at 3 p.m. Contact the library for further details.

•The movie Get Smart will be shown Thurs., Nov. 20, 7:30 p.m. and Fri., Nov. 21, 1:30 p.m. Doors open one half hour in advance.

•On Sat., Nov. 22, 2 p.m. autumn fun crafts will be offered at the library. Registration is underway.

•The short story group will meet Mon., Nov. 24, 10:30 a.m. to noon.

•On Tues., Nov. 25, 6:30 p.m. the movie Space Chimps will be shown for all ages with a parent.

•The Teen Café will meet Tues, Nov. 25, 7 p.m. for grades six and up.

•On Fri. Nov. 21, 1 to 3 p.m., ceramic artist Rosemarie Attard will demonstrate how to decorate a ceramic turkey-shaped basket ideal for flowers or fruit. Finish the basket with acrylic paints and it will be ready to take home the same day. The $14 materials fee includes a kiln fired piece, all paints, brushes and instruction. Registration is unde4rway.

•On Fri. Nov. 21, 9:30 a.m. the Library will offer senior recreation through the Wii system. Players use a remote to mimic the actions performed in real life sports.
