Nassau County Police are investigating the death of two men whose bodies were found in Massapequa Dec. 11 and Dec. 14. The two incidents do not appear to be related, said police, who are investigating the cases and are asking the public for information.

Police said that the body of John Reuter, 45, of Sunrise Highway, Massapequa Park was found lying faceup on the sidewalk at Carol Drive and Sunrise Highway at 10:35 p.m. Dec. 11. Reuter was pronounced dead at the scene and no apparent cause of death was determined.

In the second incident, 19-year old Daniel Carroll, of Bedford Ave., Massapequa, was found unconscious by a friend on Ocean Avenue at 7:17 a.m. Dec. 14. He was later pronounced dead and a cause of death is still under investigation.
