On Sunday, Nov. 25, the children who have been attending religious classes for the past two years were confirmed during the 11 a.m. worship service by the Reverend David J. Meyers in front of the family members, friends and the St. David's congregation.
During their two years of religious classes, community service projects had to be performed by each of the young men and women. Some of the projects included Habitat for Humanity, attending walks and fundraisers that support the less fortunate, helping senior citizens with house chores, sending books and DVDs to troops in Iraq, collecting small toys, school supplies and hygiene items to fill shoe boxes for "Operation Christmas Child" a project of Samaritans Purse, an International Christian relief program.
