Ancient Order of Hibernians present concert Feb. 16

The New York State Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) will present MacTalla Mor in a benefit concert at 8 p.m. on Sat, Feb. 16, in the auditorium of Maria Regina School, 4045 Jerusalem Ave., Seaford.

Tickets are $20 per person, with tables of 10 available. Proceeds will be used to assist local AOH divisions to fund delegates to the 2008 National Convention in New Orleans.

MacTalla Mor, Irish for Great Echo, features The Great Highland Bagpipes, piano, vocals and Bodhran in a dynamic mix of traditional Celtic roots, rock, hip hop, Calypso and fusion. MacTalla's ancient and modern instruments "with their Irish and original songs" bring the past to life.

For more information, or to order tickets, call NYS AOH Treasurer Jim Burke at 516-799-5153 or e-mail failte32@verizon.net.
