Editorial Ifyou have not made efforts to get down to a school board or budget meeting in your community, now is the time to add that to your agenda. Over the next several weeks, school districts throughout the state will be preparing their spending plans and making the decisions that will have an impact on your pocketbook.
Don't wait until it is time to vote on a new school budget. By then the hundreds of decisions about the budget have been made and all you can do is vote it up or down in its entirety. For a real voice, get down to a meeting and tell your elected school board officials what you expect and what you think they should be doing.
