National Fitness Challenge to benefit St. Jude's Hospital

Ladies Workout Express is offering free 10-week training for the Ab Crunch Challenge to be held Sat. March 29 and will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The event is expected to raise $1,000,000 for St. Jude.

Ladies Workout Express members and non-members alike may participate in the free training beginning in January to build up strength and endurance to perform stomach crunches for one hour straight on the day of the Ab Crunch Challenge. There is no cost to take part in the 30-minute classes, but participants will raise money by recruiting friends, family members and co-workers to sponsor them.

The classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 to 10 a.m. at Ladies Workout Express, 5077 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park. For more information on training classes or to register call (516) 541-2284. For more information on the Ab Crunch Challenge and to support a participant, go to www.abcrunchchallenge.org.
