Our Lady of Lourdes School, Massapequa Park, announced the opening of its newly refurbished science lab, a facility equipped with the latest electronic learning tools and equipment to help students excel in the sciences.

The lab, named the St. Albertus Magnus Science Lab in honor of the patron saint of science, was upgraded this summer as part of a campaign called “Let's Be Dazzling.” The campaign ran for five weeks in May and raised more than $12,600 from donors.

Donations went toward purchasing computer software, printers, bookcases, classroom equipment and supplies, and other items to be used throughout the school. But it was the science lab that was the focal point of the Let's Be Dazzling campaign.

The school held a special dedication ceremony and open house at the lab on Oct. 14, inviting donors to see the improvements.
