Woodward Parkway school students in Farmingdale perfect their trumpet skills
Erica Hartmann, a band teacher in the Woodward Parkway School in the Farmingdale School District welcomed a musical visitor into her class. Rodger Lee, a Woodward Parkway parent and professional trumpet player volunteered to work with the music classes. Lee worked with both the fourth and fifth-grade trumpet students. The students learned new warm-up ideas, worked on tone and learned about the parts of the trumpet. The band students loved Lee's presentation and were very impressed with his playing.
