SMART Boards and math software engage Massapequa students

Teachers in the Massapequa Public School District have been using SMART Board technology, combined with "RM Math" software to deliver engaging and motivating lessons to district students in grades six through eight. These technologies provide the tools for teachers to create and utilize dynamic and highly interactive lessons. "The curriculum requirements are the same, but the method of delivery is different and students are more engaged in learning," said Bob Schilling, executive director for assessment, student data, and technology

services. Shown in the photo is Unqua Elementary School sixth grade math teacher Bryan Piotrowski introducing RM Math techniques via the SMART Board.
