Bideawee to hold open house Feb. 9 and 10 Bideawee, one of the nation's oldest not-for-profit human animal organizations, is holding a Valentine's Day "Fine the Love of Your Life" open house, Sat. Feb. 9 and Sun., Feb., 10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Wantagh, Westhampton and Manhattan sites. A qualified "matchmaker" will be available to help you. Medical, training and behavioral questions will be answered by a Bideawee veterinarian and trainer. You will also get the opportunity to learn about Bideawee's fostering program. All dogs and cats have been spayed/ neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, have been tested for canine heartworm and feline AIDS/leukenia and are micro-chipped. The Purina Pets for People Program helps subsidize adoption costs for those 60 years and older who adopt adult or special needs pets.
