Caroline Maiorana: 50-year S. Farmingdale resident

Loving homemaker Caroline L. Maiorana spent her life raising her family in South Farmingdale. She died January 11, 2008 in Farmingdale.

Born in Huntington, she lived in St. Albans, Queens before moving to Motor Avenue in South Farmingdale in 1957. She lived there for 50 years and devoted herself to loving her husband, children and grandchildren.

"I learned many things from her, not only how to cook and clean but her good qualities such as being patient and forgiving and sharing," said her daughter in-law, Maria.

Mrs. Maiorana leaves behind her husband of 59 years, James; her children: Linda and James Gabriel, Russell J. and his partner Joelle Multari, James R. and his wife Fatima and Marie; her grandchildren: Michael, Daniel, Stephen, Ashley and Kristen; and her siblings: Patrick Pecoraro, Victor Pecoraro and Rose Ott.

Mrs. Maiorana reposed on January 12 and 13, 2008 at the McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home in Farmingdale. A Funeral Mass was held January 14, 2008 at St. Kilian R.C. in Farmingdale followed by interment in the Long Island National Cemetery at Pinelawn.
