Seniors' art discussion group meets Wednesdays The Town of Oyster Bay Department of Community and Youth Services invites Town seniors to participate in an Art Appreciation Discussion Group, which, according to Town Councilwoman Beth Faughnan, meets on Wednesdays at the Syosset- Woodbury Community Center and Town Hall South in Massapequa. Discussions, led by Carolyn DeSoucey, will focus on themes in art. Participants will take an in-depth look at the history of still life painting in western art. Meetings are held on the following Wednesdays: Feb. 27, March 12, March 26, April 9, April 23, May 14, May 28, June 11 and June 25. Discussions will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center and from 1 to to 2:30 p.m. at Town Hall South, located at 977 Hicksville Rd. in Massapequa.
