Meet some of Massapequa's future scientists

The Massapequa School District Science Discover Fair was held at Alfred Berner Middle School this year, and more than 60 students from McKenna Elementary School entered with dazzling projects and great ideas.

Overall winner for the school's 5th and 6th grade was Christopher Wahl, shown holding his trophy at right.

Other winners included Ryan Schulte, 6th grade, third place (shown bottom right); Kyle Cardno and Shawn Steeneck, 5th grade, third place (middle picture, far right); Steven George, Luke Cole and Timothy Diovani, 6th grade, third place (shown top center); Zachary Harris and Kaitlyn Heaney, 6th grade fourth place (shown top right): and Nicholas Shizume and Stephen Koester, 5th grade, third place (shown center, far right).

Shown bottom, are all the 6th grade students at Mckenna who entered the fair, the most participants ever.
