Vocabulary on parade at Park Avenue Elementary School in Amityville

Shown in the photos, are Park Avenue Elementary School students who donned costumes they created themselves based on vocabulary words.
Park Avenue Elementary students in the Amityville Public Schools had a parade of fun when they used their vocabulary word studies in a unique take on Halloween. Students were asked to choose an adjective or compound word, then create their own costumes and dress as the word. During the "Vocabulary Parade," students marched through the hallways of Park Avenue Elementary School as the words came alive in the catchy costumes created by their peers. All had a good time, and students had the opportunity to add to their vocabularies.
