Massapequa student named to academic honor roll

Junior Laura Lipari, of Massapequa, who is on the Mullenberg College women's cross country team in Allentown, Pennsylvania, was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the course.

To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on her team and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

A mathematics major, Lipari was a strong competitor for the Mules. She ran a season-best time of 23:59 at the NCAA Mideast Regional and was the second Mule to cross the finish line at the meet. She placed 49th in the Centennial Conference and 32nd out of 203 runners at the DeSales Invitational, where the team finished third. The Mules finished the season seventh in the Centennial Conference and 12th in the Mideast Region.
