Girl Scouts hold successful Blood Drive

Two Girl Scouts from Massapequa GETS Troop 2384, Marissa Accordino and Joan Stanton, achieved great success with its Jan. 4 blood drive. With the support of the Community Methodist Church, the blood drive collected 42 pints of blood for the Long Island Blood services. Both girls spent six weeks organizing and recruiting potential donors and achieved the Girl Scout Silver Award for their efforts. Shown, left to right, are Marissa Accordino and Joan Stanton.
