Taylor to host meeting on school taxes Mar. 5 Massapequa School Board Trustee TimT aylor and Gary Bennett a resident and member of the school budget and finance committee are holding a a school tax rally and seminar at Marjorie Post Park, Wednesday, March 5, 7:30pm in the community center. Issues to be discussed include ways the district can control taxes;NY State Education Aid, why it's shrinking and what you can do; ballooning administrative and other contract costs including those for legal fees; college tuition costs and how public education can help.
In addition, the agenda includes discussion on escalating educational costs and how they can be trimmed without cutting goods and services and how every child can participate in organized sports without raising taxes.
