For the month of March, paintings and sketches by the students of Gloria Glick will be on display in the Downstairs Gallery of the Harbor Lane Library.

•A Notary Public is available by appointment only at both locations of the Massapequa Public Library.

•Senior Connections Information and Referral Service will be at the Central Avenue Library, Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to noon and at the Bar Harbor Library, Monday and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon. For information call 798-4607, extension 322.

•Financial advisor Tom Raad, will offer a seminar entitled Investment Perspective: a global outlook for the stock market with opportunities and strategies to help meet your financial goals, tonight, Wed., March 5, 7:30 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. Light refreshments will be served.

•The Harbor Lane library will host a retirement planning seminar presented by Vincent Bayer of New York Life Insurance Company, Wed., March 12, 7 p.m.

•On Tues. May 27, 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Library will be hosted a bus trip to the Culinary Institute and Vanderbilt Mansion. Enjoy a one-hour guided tour and cooking demonstration before a special prepared luncheon in the Ristorante Caterina de Medici. Later you can tour the 19th Century Beau- Arts Mansion. The cost is $82 per person. Registration will begin March 18, 10 a.m. for residents and March 19 for non-residents.

•For the month of March, oils by Jack S. Grimando will be on display in the Gallery

•The Short Story Group will be held Mon. March 10, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Copies are available at the reference desk.

•Yoga with Eileen Lichtenstein will be offered Mon. March 10, 7:30 p.m. the fee is $12 per person payable by check only.

•On Mon. March 10, CPA Mark Silverstein will be on hand to give tax tips and tricks. Registration is underway.

•The Bee Movie will be shown Tues. March 11, 7 p.m. for all ages and a parent.

On Wed. March 11, 7:30 p.m. Jim Ryan will show you how to live the life of your dreams.

•On Sun., March 9, 2 p.m. the library will hold The Diva Show with vocalist and guitarist Naomi Zeitlin who will perform songs from such greats as Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and more.

•Free tickets are available for a program, Garage Sale Sale, to be held Tues. March 11, 7 to 9 p.m. Costello will show you how to locate and identify specific items that are worth more than many prized antiques. You will get a free appraisal of any one antique or collectible.

•The library's large showcase will feature an exhibit of handicrafts from Africa including fabrics, woodwork and straw weaving. The items were featured in the Natural History Magazine circa 1950.

•A collection of Valentine's Day cards is on display in the small showcase. Left to the Library by its first director, Helen Badger, who served from 1915 to 1934, this exhibit includes ornate and intricate cards that are far removed from modern greeting cards.
