Oyster Bay Town Clerk Steve Labriola visits Birch Lane students

Shown in the photo is Oyster Bay Town Clerk Steve Labriola, center, with Birch Lane Assistant Principal Christine Harris and Principal Joyce Becker-Seddio, both far left and a fourth grade class, who posed for a photo after the discussion.
Oyster Bay Town Clerk Steve Labriola recently paid a visit to Birch Lane Elementary School students in the Massapequa Public School District to talk with youngsters about how society's government has an effect on their daily lives. Labriola used relevant examples to keep the students engaged and interested, and also explained his own duties and responsibilities as Town Clerk. In addition, to connect with the curriculum, Labriola discussed the meaning of "We the People," which the students have been examining during their studies of the United States Constitution. "It is important that we all work together to make smart choices and be good citizens in our community," Labriola reminded the students at the close of his visit.
