The Subprime Mortgage Debacle forum to be presented March 11 The Great South Bay Forum on Current Affairs will present The Subprime Mortgage Debacle with speaker Max Wolff, professor at the New School in the Department of International Affairs, economist, lecturer and author. The program will be held Tues. March 11, 7:30 p.m. at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park in the lower level auditorium. The forum will explore: what is basically wrong with our economy and how can we fix it, inflated assets - the housing bubble, the credit crunch and will the events triggered by the subprime mortgage crisis cause a recession.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served. The program is cosponsored by L.I. Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives, L.I. Progressive Coalition, L.I. Pax Christi, Peacesmiths, Veterans for Peace and L.I. School of the America's Watch. For information, call 795-1085 or 799-4088.
