31st annual Nationwide Insurance 10 Kilometer Run for ASPIRE

The Greater Long Island Running Club is pleased to announce that the Massaepqua Park based Wiszowaty Agency of Nationwide Insurance has signed on once again to be the lead sponsor of the 31st annual edition of the Nationwide Insurance 10 Kilometer Run for ASPIRE, Long Island's oldest continuously held 10 Kilometer Run. The Run will be held Sat. April 5.

The 2008 Run will be staged over the 6.2 mile course through the roads of Plainview, Old Bethpage and Bethpage that has been used in the past, once again starting and finishing at the H.B. Mattlin Middle School on Washington Avenue in Plainview. The event will once again be directed by Bob Windorf of the Greater Long Island Running Club.

The event will continue to provide awards in age groups through 85 plus. Top male and female overall and top male and female masters take home a pair of Mizuno running shoes. Every entrant in the 10K gets one of the classic long sleeve Run for ASPIRE shirts. Other ASPIRE Run features include free massage and lots of raffles to cap the post-Run awards ceremony.
