Massapequa fields readied for upcoming seasons

Shown at the Burns Park Field Allocations, left to right, were Robert McGeever of the Town's Parks Department, Councilwoman Walker, John J. Burns Park Manager Natale Lavoro and in the back row standing are the heads of Massapequa's various athletic teams.
Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker recently joined with employees of the Town's Parks Department and local coaches and managers for field allocation for the 2008 sports year at John J. Burns Community Park in Massapequa.

The Town has its ongoing maintenance program to make sure its fields are among the finest on Long Island. They are particularly coveted by local sports teams because the fields are kept up to professional standards.
