St. William students honored in 50th Anniversary contest

In photo, each student is shown receiving a certificate signed by Bishop Murphy, as well as a monetary award. Anna Guardino, principal of St. William the Abbot looks on, as Bishop John Dunne congratulates her and the students.
On Jan. 17, three of St. William the Abbot's students were honored by the Diocese of Rockville Centre for their participation the 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Contest. The three students, Carolyn Brady, 7th grade (of Bellmore); Caitlin Cronin, 5th grade (of Amityville); and Thomas Duplesis, 8th grade (of Wantagh); won in their categories of Multimedia II, Bookmark I, and Essay II respectively. Each student's creative piece embodied the spirit of the Dioceses' theme: "Faith lived, Faith prayed, Faith professed, Faith celebrated and God's everlasting love."
