Free hotline for those dealing with addiction

Anyone who has experienced a loved one suffering from addiction knows all too well that it affects more people than just the addicted; everyone close to a person addicted to drugs or alcohol feels the effects.

Residents of Nassau County who are dealing with or affected by drug or alcohol addiction are urged to urged to call the Nassau County Department of Drug and Alcohol Addiction's free, anonymous 24/7 hotline, run by Long Island Crisis Center, at 516-481-4000. Long Island Crisis Center is Long Island's longest-running telephone crisis intervention center.
