Congregation Beth-El honors teachers

During Sabbath services on Fri., March 14, 8 p.m., Congregation Beth-El will honor its religious school teachers. The students of the Dalet class (sixth graders) will lead the service, with a dinner preceding. The Congregation Beth-El Religious School spans ages four through 17.

The staff of the Religious School, is under the direction of Hazzan Jeffrey Myers, the position of teacher in the Jewish community has always been a noble one, preparing young people to become fully functional adults. By honoring its teachers, Congregation Beth-El reaffirms to the community that a good education has the highest priority and the efforts of all the teachers are valued and praiseworthy. Each teacher will receive a gift as a token of appreciation and the esteem by which they are held.

Congregation Beth El serves all of southeastern nassau and southwestern Suffolk Counties and is located at 99 Jerusalem Ave., Massapequa. It is a member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.
